Animal welfare is of the utmost importance to us at True Taste Seasonal Kitchen. That’s why we are committed to sourcing all of our chicken and beef from farms and ranches that achieve an animal welfare certification recognized by REAL Certified and ASPCA® Shop With Your Heart program. We proudly procure our chicken from pasture-based farms that use slower growing breeds, humane treatment standards, and GAP certification (our heritage “Poulet Rouge” chickens are GAP Step 4 certified). All of our beef is from a GAP Step 4 farm committed to humane ranching practices. Furthermore, we will continue to source GAP certified chicken as the GAP program improves by 2024 to require better breeds and higher welfare rearing conditions (including more space per bird, better lighting, litter, and enrichment) as well as require that birds are processed using a multi-step controlled atmosphere processing system that’s widely hailed as more humane.
